Tropical Strength, our 13th album, is out NOW.
Buy it here, right off the digital shelf (Other releases available on the Merch page)
The album is available on numerous formats, including long player vinyl records, suitable for all gramophone types (results on wax-cylinder gramophones cannot be guaranteed). Note: For optimum results, set your gramophone speed to 33 rpm. While the record can be played at both 78 and 45 rpm, and you will get through it quicker, it was recorded for optimum listening at 33 rpm.
We also have discs, which are compact in nature, and playable only on a type of new, cutting-edge technology called a “CD” player. While we realise that purchasing one of these units will entail an initial outlay on the consumer’s behalf , we have been assured that this is the future of audio and your new machine is bound to give you hours of listening pleasure into the future as more and more acts adopt the technology. Don’t miss out! We’ve only pressed 150,000 copies of this new format and they are sure to sell out.
We will also subsequently be releasing the album on reel-to reel tape, sheet music (save money and reproduce the album in the comfort of your own home) and phonautograph.
Please note: If using a EG Magnetophon tape recorder, we do sell converters.
If your home is not serviced by electricity, we are pleased to announce that the album will also be available by town crier (sorry, lyrics only) and roving minstrel (sorry, lute-based versions only).
We have a video for the first song on the record, un-Australians and one for the second Tell Someone Who Gives a Fuck. Watch them on YouTube.
We’ve also got an Instagram page now. Instagram is like a kind of pictorial magazine accessible using advanced telemetry on electric screens. You can also access it on your phone. Apparently you just need to place a STD trunk call to the operator and ask to be put through to Instagram. Look for: the_fauves_cool_band
We will also be touring a live, performance-based entertainment show. We are not the main act, that honour goes to Custard, whose audiences are larger than ours and whose popularity exceeds ours by several orders of magnitude.
